The work consists of a single framed photograph, which is the reproduction of an analogue collage. The collage has three layers.
The middle layer is a staged photograph to which cut-outs have been added. These cut-outs make two more photographs visible in the back layer. This tableau in turn is masked by a modular system of paper surfaces in the foreground, which are hung on threads. They are taken from a collection of snippets; remnants from the production of previous works, which were taken over as they were.
The partially concealed tableau, in its stage design arrangement, examines aesthetics that seem to be installed in conjunction with transfigured, romanticized ideals of creativity and self-realization. This arrangement consists of numerous reference systems, which form new cross-connections with each other.
